Patient Participation Group

What Is The Patient Participation Group (PPG)?

A group of people joining together in a voluntary capacity to enhance the practice by working alongside the doctors and nurses on behalf of, and representing, the patients.

What Does it Involve?

We ask you to attend PPG meetings, which are held at the Surgery, or provide your e-mail details should you wish to become a ‘virtual’ member. The meetings usually take place every 6-8 weeks and we discuss issues affecting the practice, which helps us to deliver the best service we can.

Who Can Become a Member?

Generally anyone who is a patient registered at the practice. However the practice does have a right to refuse an individual if it considers it is in the best interest of the individual or the practice. Please ask at reception for an application form.

What Documents are Available?

If you would like to see a copy of any of the following documents, please ask at reception.

  • Terms of Reference
  • Patient Survey Results (See the above “Reports & Surveys” page)
  • Meeting Minutes
